The Ascender, also commonly referred to as a Jumar, is an essential mechanical device for climbers, cavers, and rope-access professionals. Designed to facilitate smooth and efficient rope ascents, this tool allows users to climb vertically with reduced effort and increased safety, especially on long or technical routes.

Constructed for reliability and ease of use, the ascender is attached to the climber’s harness with a sling, then secured to the rope using a carabiner for added protection. Its internal cam mechanism is engineered to slide freely in one direction (up) while locking instantly in the opposite direction (down) to prevent slipping.
